Oracle Application Technical Consultant

Job Responsibility – The purpose of this role is for developing, customising, maintaining and support Oracle applications as per requirement of the business.


Requirement gathering:

  • Taking functional specifications from users


  • Support and troubleshooting of the existing developed applications (Forms, Reports and Interfaces)

Database Structure Design:

  • Database structure design for Tables, views, sequences, synonyms and database triggers etc.

Application Development:

  • Development of forms and reports (Forms and reports development for the whole application and register under oracle application)
  • Creation of SQL packages, functions and procedures etc.

Integration and Interfacing:

  • Integrations of customized application with Oracle standard applications modules

Training and Implementation:

  • Training users
  • Implementation of the applications
  • Technical documentation

Support on Service Desk:

  • Ensure SD tickets are resolved within SLA’s
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is kept to at least 95%

Project Assignments:

  • Ensure assignments are completed within the agreed deadlines
  • Ensure all work is fully documented

Qualifications, experience and skill set required for this role:

  • Expertise in Forms 6i or Forms 10g, Reports6i or Reports 10g and PL/SQL(Min. 5 years)
  • Good Knowledge of Oracle Apps Standards, Table Structure, Architecture and Databases (Min 3 years) or 3 implementations
  • Expertise in creating Interfaces through Standard API's and Interface Tables and data loading
  • Expert in using Tools like Toad, SQL Navigator and SQL Plus
  • Capable of integrating Third party tools with Oracle Apps Databases
  • Good Analytical, Technical, Time Management and Communication Skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Documentation Tools
